It is robust enough to stand up to a good steak, yet gentle enough in the mouth to drink before dinner. It has the softness of a spring evening with lots of dark stone fruit flavors, very juicy and intense. There are little spice notes on the ending which offers a crisp finish.
Wine Spectator states that it should remain nicely drinkable through 2020.
